CHAIRS FOR SCHOOL KIDS - COMPLETED PROJECT 2009

Project Cost: US$ 1600

Aim: The aim of this project was to provide chairs to schools in Kavre District. The project covered two schools and provided some 300 chair and desks for the children who currently take their lessons sitting on the floor. The chairs were being built locally using local products so it is also aiding the local economy with much needed income.

The desk and chair sets where delivered to the two schools in Goatpani Village in October 2009. It was like an early Dashain gift for the teachers and children at the upper and lower schools. Life will now be a bit more comfortable for some of the 500 hundred kids that attend the two schools. We hope in the future we can make ongoing contributions to the schools to improve conditions and education standards.
