Nepal is one of the fastest growing tourist and adventure destinations in the world. With geography that offers incredible diversity ranging from the oldest and highest mountain range in the world to the flat subtropical plains that border with India. In between is a vast ecological and cultural melting pot which attracts tourists from all over the world. Most tourists come to Nepal for trekking and mountaineering, but these days adventure sports like Bungy Jumping, Canyoning, Paragliding, White Water Rafting, Kayaking, Mountain Biking and Rock Climbing are fast growing in popularity. Let’s also not forget that architecturally Nepal is home to some of the worlds very best listed world heritage sites! When visiting Nepal, take some time out and brush aside all the tourist hype, well trodden trekking routes and hair raising adventures and you will find a quiet, unassuming, friendly people that inhabit this unbelievably beautiful country. Look even further beyond the bustling cities and you will see a simple, yet dignified rural lifestyle that will touch your heart, and live in your memories forever. Although their friendly dispositions may tell a different story, thousands and thousands of Rural Nepalese live not so much below the poverty line in terms of general happiness, but they certainly lack basic amenities that would ease the physical hardship they experience to survive on a daily basis. Water, electricity, health care and education are a few basic things that with a little bit of funding effort and planning, can be supplied to almost all rural villages in Nepal. This lack of facilities is driving young people out of the villages and into the crowded, polluted, over populated cities in search of jobs which are simply not there. Put simply, we believe that by providing these basic amenities, we can improve the lifestyle of village existence, help them establish commercial farming and tourist attractions that can provide them with an ongoing income. With this, villages can slowly improve their houses, encourage better medical facilities and schools into these regions and we hope encourage youth to move back to the villages, and establish generations to maintain the future of rural Nepal.
