THE ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival
Arrive in Kathmandu where we will greet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Take some time to rest and refresh from your flight. In the evening you will have the chance to meet the rest of the group and discuss the details of the trip.

Day 02: Dhulikhel
Enjoy a restful morning before we leave the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu behind today and head to the tranquil resort town of Dhulikhel for your first magnificent mountain views. En route to the hotel, we explore the old town and bazaar of Dhulikhel.

Day 03: Namobuddha
As a warm up trek today we take the three hour scenic walk through villages and along a ridge to the beautiful Namobuddha, a Buddhist place where the Lord Buddha in one of his many past lives, took pity on a starving tigress by giving her his own blood and eventually his entire body so she could feed her cubs. Spend some time soaking up this pristine atmosphere and enjoying the spectacular mountain views. After a well earned lunch we take our bus back to Dhulikhel for the night.

Day 04-08: Village trek
We leave behind the busy roads and lights of modern Nepal and trek back in time along the tranquil Sunkoshi River. Climbing high into the foothills we enter an area of Nepal that is unchanged by modern life. Passing through idyllic villages, we will be able to see the traditional methods of farming this steep landscape, an eye opening insight into the diligent local farmers that have learnt to work and harvest this difficult area. We camp out along route before reaching Ghoatpani Village. Here we will stay awhile and get the chance to live a day in the shoes of these hardy mountain people. Enjoy true Nepalese hospitality and food unblemished by modern ideals and gadgets. Around the village you will be shown our various projects to improve life here, all the while experiencing the stunning beauty and rich culture. You will surely come to understand why it's so important that we help these people by improving lives and the lives of future generations.

Day 09: Bhaktapur
Leaving the foothills behind, we trek to the road head for the three hour drive to Bhaktapur, the one time ancient capital of Nepal and home to the Mala Kings. Take timeout to explore the alleyways, temples and hidden wonders before retiring to the roof top to watch the sun set over the city to the sound of ringing temple bells.

Day 10: Bhaktapur to Kathmandu
After a leisurely morning we head out for a trek through the country side to Changu Naran. Changu Naran is nestled on a ridge above the valley and one of Nepal's oldest and most beautiful temples. We take lunch here before returning to Kathmandu by bus.

Day 11: Kathmandu
Back to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, join us for a rickshaw ride through the back streets and alleyways to Durba Square, the hub of this ancient city. Explore temples and exotic spice markets as we wonder around Asan the local market place. After lunch we will go by vehicle to visit Pashupatinath and Bouldanath Stupa, where we can see the contrast between Hinduism and Buddhism in the valley. In the evening we hit the bowling alley for some relaxation, local food and spirits at our farewell dinner.

Day 12: Wrap it Up
Well, we have loved having you along on this amazing trek, but now its time for us to say good bye, and take you to meet your onward flight.
